JC honors the valedictorian and salutatorian of 2019

val and salThe Johnson City High School is proud to announce Kara Anderson as valedictorian and Alanna Hill as salutatorian of the graduating Class of 2019.

Anderson is considering attending the University at Buffalo in the fall to major in computer science. At Johnson City, she has been a member of the National Honor Society, French Club, Ski Club, Science Olympiad, FCCLA, Key Club, Philosophy Club, Chess Club and the news team. She has also been class president the last three years. She is the daughter of Daniel and Jennifer Anderson.

Hill is looking forward to majoring in education at SUNY Oswego. At Johnson City, she has been a member of the National Honor Society, The French Club, Key Club, Philosophy Club, Hello Club, Science Club, Spanish Club, the news team, the Gay Straight Alliance, International Studies and French Enrichment. In addition, Hill was a member of marching band, concert band and the stage crew. She is the daughter of Steven and Karen Hill. 

The board of education and Wildcat school community congratulate the newest valedictorian and salutatorian and all graduating seniors.
