3rd-graders at Calvary Cemetery

The Johnson City 3rd-grade classes recently visited Calvary Cemetery in JC to place hundreds of small American flags at the graves of those who served the United States in the military. This yearly tradition involves the students first creating the flags in the classroom with paper and crayons and writing notes of thanks on the back.

Command Sergeant Major Pianosi, along with a few additional military personnel from the 698th Quartermaster Company from the Nichols Army Reserve Center, were on hand with several large military vehicles and spoke to the students about the importance of Memorial Day.
