JC students at emergency drillTwice a year, Lourdes Hospital holds mass casualty drills to prepare emergency responders, schools and medical professionals for the worst. Earlier this week, high school students in Sue Anderson's Health Careers elective class joined other area students to participate in the event. Volunteers wore makeup to simulate injuries from a bus crash. These drills help schools learn how to best communicate with response teams. State Homeland Security, the Broome County Sheriffs Office, the County Executive's Office and several departments from Lourdes Hospital all took part in Wednesday’s drill.
