The Johnson City Teacher Center (JCTC) is a member of the New York State Teacher Center (NYSTC) Network whose mission is to “provide high-quality professional learning opportunities for educators to enrich their teaching practice and improve student learning and achievement”.  
As a grant funded organization, the JCTC seeks to support and initiate professional development programs in alignment with the NYSTC, NYSED, and the Johnson City Central School District, with a specific focus on professional learning for new teachers.

Ongoing Professional Development Opportunities
JCTC Book Study Application (link)
A book study is designed to assist a group of educators who are committed to enhancing or improving their professional practice through collaborative work. The group comes together on a regular basis or across a few sessions to read and discuss a common professional text. This collaborative work can improve the quality of instruction and assist in project development. the professional development rate of $38 would be paid to each participant. Work would need to be done outside of the regular contract hours.
